Nixon’s Deli has been steaming hoagies in Knoxville since 1976.
We slice the meat and cheese at the shop, build the sandwich to order,
and run the whole thing through the steamer — pickle and pepperoncini on the side.
That’s a Knoxville sandwich, not a toasted chain sub. Some people want it just warm. Regulars want it so steamed you could eat it with a spoon.
